Who we are ?
To say of Reis & Reis, Lda. is to speak of the art, of the
pleasure in the act of continuously
preserving the traditional tin-work
production.
Being a family inheritance,
this art has been worked on more than eighty years,
when the grandfather of the actual partners established the
first tin-work factory in the region.
Never abandoning
the tin-work, we
come to the present day as one
of its last representatives,
which played an historical part as one of
most traditional and genuine arts in the Portuguese culture.
What is Tin-work?
Tin-work is the traditional
art of handling and transforming
various types of plates into useful
and/or decorative utensils for the most diverse ends.
What do we produce ?
Through all these years we have had
only three main concerns
regarding our range of products.
The first one is to be on the alert as to the
market's need, giving it and efficient
reply to all the new necessities that appear.
Second is to keep in production articles that even
so having a minimum demand, have
had a great cultural value due to
their importante role throughout history.
Third - always seeking to
improve the quality of our
articles, we also have made a point in
resisiting the mechanization processes that would lead to the loss
of the unique artisan
characteristics of our products.

With what raw materials do we work
with?
With the objective to use adequate raw materials
to each situation, we resort to the use of
the following metals: stainless steel , cooper, brass,
galvanized plate, tin plate, etc.
